Hello, my name is Neil Masiclat, and thank you for stopping by my webpage! A little about myself - for as long as I can remember, from being a little kid eating paste in Kindergarten, to who I am now - a 28 year old aspiring matte painter and concept artist (still a little kid inside, except for the eating paste part!), I have always enjoyed drawing, and painting.

It wasn't until my first year in high school that my art teacher introduced me to acrylic painting and the Romantic and Dutch Baroque painters. I mostly enjoyed the stories and legends behind the paintings, and how powerful a single frame can be. It was then that I instantly fell in love with landscape and fantasy painting that I decided that I wanted to pursue a career in concept design, matte painting, and illustration.

My aspirations other than being an artist is also to be a teacher one day, so that I can hopefully instill the inspiration of art and history in others, the way others have with me.

As Aristotle once said, "The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance."
